Day 1: Explore Bidoup National Park and camp at Phước Bình Grassland
The adventure starts with a 14km trek through Bidoup National Park. The diverse terrain, with steep slopes, slippery streams, and ancient Pơ Mu trees, will be an exciting challenge for trekking enthusiasts. At the end of the day, the group will camp at Phước Bình Grassland, where you can spend the night under the starry sky and enjoy a stunning sunrise the next morning.

07:30: Departure to the edge of Bidoup Forest, where the trekking journey begins.
08:00: Start trekking through Bidoup National Park. The 14km route features cool weather and a rich variety of plants. The terrain in Bidoup National Park includes old forests with steep hills, streams, and slippery rocks.
12:00: Reach the boundary between Lam Dong and Ninh Thuan, and stop for lunch in a mossy, green forest.
13:00: Continue the journey to the Phước Bình National Park area.
16:30: Arrive at the campsite on Phước Bình Grassland, gather around a campfire, and enjoy a delicious dinner with roasted pork, roasted chicken, beef and mushroom porridge, cucumbers, lettuce, bell peppers, okra, grilled corn, and warm wine. The group will rest in European-standard tents that are well-protected against rain and wind.
Day 2: Trekking through the grasslands and rocky streams to Tà Giang
The second day will be a bit easier with a downhill trek through lush grasslands and clear streams at Tà Giang Village. The journey concludes when the group reaches Khanh Son, before heading back to Da Lat or Ho Chi Minh City.
05:30: The group wakes up, has breakfast, and enjoys a cup of coffee while watching the sunrise before packing up.
07:30: Begin trekking downhill through vast grasslands, descending from 1,900m to 1,500m. The trail is relatively easy.
09:30: Take a break by a cool stream, breathing in the fresh air.
12:00: The group stops at the Khế River stream, resting and having lunch for about an hour. There will be an option to swim. Lunch includes rice, braised meat, eggs, boiled vegetables, soup, or baguettes with beef stew.
17:00: The group completes the trek at the edge of Tà Giang Forest, Khanh Son. Here, the group will transfer to a local house about 5km away to shower and have dinner with dishes such as rice, eggs, meat, fish, stir-fried vegetables, and soup.
19:00: The group takes a shuttle back to Da Lat (the 100km route takes about 3 hours).
23:30: The group boards the sleeper bus from Da Lat to Ho Chi Minh City, expected to arrive at around 5:00 AM the following day.
Preparation for Physical Fitness and Personal Equipment:
To participate in the Bidoup – Tà Giang trekking route, you need to prepare both physically and with the necessary personal equipment:
Physical fitness: Before the trip, you should train by running 10-15 days in advance, with the ability to run 4km. This will ensure you are fit enough for the trek.
Clothing: Prepare sports pants, 2-3 pairs of high socks, and a warm jacket since the night temperature can drop to about 15°C. Don’t forget to bring swimwear if you plan to swim in the streams.
Footwear: Choose shoes with good grip that dry quickly since the terrain involves crossing streams. You can also bring flip-flops or sandals to change into when crossing streams.
Backpack: Bring a backpack with support straps to help your back and shoulders during the trek.
Personal items: Don’t forget to pack a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, power bank, personal hygiene items, insect repellent (for leech protection if trekking in the rainy season), and some snacks or energy bars for quick energy boosts.
Rain gear: It is advisable to bring a poncho or a rain suit to protect yourself from getting cold during rain.
Change of clothes: Prepare a set of clean clothes to change into for a shower before heading back to Ho Chi Minh City. These clothes can be left on the shuttle vehicle to avoid carrying them throughout the trek.
Personal hygiene items: In addition to basic items, don’t forget sunscreen and mosquito repellent to protect your skin during the trek in the forest.
